The Ministry of External Affairs said that 26 extradition requests are pending. Apart from this, we believe that the information of provisional arrest under Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty is also pending in Canada. We have sought 5 criminal fugitives. No action was taken by the Government of Canada on our demand and this is quite serious. The Foreign Ministry said that Nijjar’s name was not in the extradition list, but there were some more serious charges against him.
