The West Bengal Junior Doctors Front held a press conference outside the CBI office in Kolkata. They said that due to the flood situation, we are stopping our dharna-protest. We will serve in the flood-affected areas from tomorrow, but our protest will not stop. We will continue it in all medical colleges and hospitals. We will wait till the next Supreme Court hearing. If we do not get justice, we will start our protest again. Earlier, the doctors had talked about marching to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Salt Lake. After the West Bengal government accepted most of the demands, the junior doctors, who have been protesting for 41 days, had announced that they would partially end their agitation from Saturday and return to emergency and essential services in state-run hospitals.
