A big update has come out regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to the United States during 21-23 September 2024. During this visit, the Prime Minister will attend the fourth Quad Leaders Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, hosted by United States President Joe Biden. Following the US side’s request to host the Quad Summit this year, India has agreed to host the next Quad Summit in 2025.
At the Quad Summit, the leaders will review the progress achieved by the Quad over the past year and set the agenda for the year ahead to assist countries in the Indo-Pacific region meet their development goals and aspirations. On September 23, the Prime Minister will address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The theme of the summit is ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow’. A large number of global leaders are expected to attend the summit. During the summit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders and discuss issues of mutual interest.
While in New York, the Prime Minister will address a gathering of the Indian community on September 22. The Prime Minister will also interact with CEOs of leading US companies to promote greater collaboration between the two countries in cutting-edge areas of AI, quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology. The Prime Minister is also expected to interact with active think tanks and other stakeholders in the India-US bilateral landscape.
