Addressing meetings in Dera Bassi and Zirakpur areas of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, Badal said the experiment with Delhi-based parties had cost Punjab dearly as all its core issues, including federal autonomy, had been put on the back burner.

Badal said that our experiments have cost us dearly. Earlier, Congress misled you with false promises of loan waiver and giving Rs 2,500 per month to unemployed youth, but did nothing. Then AAP went a step further and promised to give Rs 1,000 per month to women besides promising to eliminate drug addiction within ten days. This promise was also false and the Aam Aadmi Party has been completely exposed because it has bankrupted the state by taking a loan of Rs 1 lakh crore.
