Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) leader Sanjay Raut on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led Mahayuti government in Maharashtra over the death of Badlapur sexual assault case accused Akshay Shinde in a police encounter. Terming Akshay Shinde’s death as an ‘encounter’, Raut said Shinde was killed to save the school management, the ‘main accused’ in the case. Speaking to reporters, the Rajya Sabha MP said there was no reason to show any sympathy for the accused but the encounter was suspicious. He questioned how a watchman could snatch a gun and fire from a locked weapon while in custody.

This is a basic question. Accusing the government of protecting the school authorities in this incident, Raut said that this is a big conspiracy. Those who are being saved are protected by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister.
Akshay Shinde, the prime accused in the case of sexual abuse of two minor girls in a school in Badlapur, died in an encounter in Mumbai area recently. Akshay snatched a gun from the police and fired at a policeman. After this, Akshay Shinde died in the firing done by the police in self-defense. At present, the atmosphere in the state is very hot on this matter. In such a situation, different reactions of the ruling party and the opposition are also coming to the fore. Today, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has reacted to this incident. Akshay Shinde was a murderer, Badlapur was angry after his act. Opponents shouted that women are unsafe.
