Due to this, the Indian Embassy in Beirut has issued an advisory for Indian people in Lebanon. They have been advised to leave the country immediately. The Indian Embassy in Beirut shared a post on Twitter saying that in view of the tension in the region, Indian citizens are advised not to travel to Lebanon until further notice. All Indian citizens already present in Lebanon are strongly advised to leave Lebanon. Those who are staying for any reason are advised to exercise extreme caution, stop their activities and stay in touch with the Indian Embassy in Beirut.

Let us tell you that almost a year has passed since the war between Hamas and Israel. Israel is now openly targeting Hezbollah. The attack that started with a pager attack last week has now turned to air strikes. Israel has targeted 1600 targets of Hezbollah in Lebanon and they have been destroyed. Bombs were dropped in Lebanon throughout the night. So far 492 deaths have been reported in the attacks. Israel has also warned that attacks will be carried out against Hezbollah in a rapid manner.

Britain has joined the US and other European countries in calling for an immediate ceasefire between Lebanese terror group Hezbollah and Israel, warning that the conflict in the region currently risks escalating into a full-blown war. In a statement during a meeting of the UN Security Council in New York, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy condemned Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel over the past 11 months and reiterated that there can be no justification for these attacks which have caused misery for civilians in Lebanon and Israel.
