N Chandrababu Naidu said the rebuilding of Amaravati will begin by restoring investor confidence and re-establishing the brand image. Releasing a white paper on the status of the green capital city, conceptualised during the TDP government between 2014 and 2019, the chief minister said he would tell the Centre everything about Amaravati.

Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said the reconstruction of Amaravati will begin by restoring investor confidence and re-establishing the brand image. Releasing a white paper on the status of the green capital city, conceptualised during the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government between 2014 and 2019, the chief minister said he would tell the Centre everything about Amaravati and move fast and in a time-bound manner to execute it. “The reconstruction of Amaravati has already begun from yesterday and instructions have been given to officials. We will move ahead by overcoming all legal hurdles,” Naidu said at a press conference at the secretariat.

He said the reconstruction of Amaravati will go ahead with the existing master plan and will also include modern things. The Chief Minister highlighted that Singapore had prepared three master plans for Amaravati. As per the plans developed by Singapore, Amaravati will have a sports city, government city, tourism city, finance city, justice city, knowledge city, media city, health city and electronics city, i.e. a total of nine cities. He also accused the previous YSRCP government of cancelling the World Bank’s US $ 300 million financial assistance and stopping the Central government grants among other means to stop the project.
