Ambani family celebrated winning the T20 World Cup, World Champions appeared in Anant-Radhika’s sangeet, watch video

India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win has sparked celebrations across the country as the Men in Blue returned home with the trophy. After a day full of festivities in Delhi and Mumbai on Thursday, India captain Rohit Sharma was felicitated by the Ambani family during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet ceremony. The Indian captain attended the event along with teammates Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya on Friday, July 5.

In a video, India’s stars were felicitated by their MI owners Nita and Akash Ambani. During this, all the guests stood up and expressed their gratitude towards the players with a special gesture. The patriotic spirit pervaded the entire hall as everyone put their arms in the air and swung them from left to right to the tune of the song ‘Lahra Do’. Notably, these three players played a vital role in Team India’s victorious campaign.

The entire audience, including family, friends and guests who attended the ceremony, gave a standing ovation and cheered loudly, with a visibly emotional Nita Ambani sharing how personal this win is for her as the three legends are also a part of her Mumbai Indians family. Nita Ambani mentioned how the country watched with bated breath and heart in mouth as the Indian team pulled off a win from an almost impossible situation. She clearly expressed people’s feelings about Hardik Pandya through her comment: “Tough times don’t last but tough people do.”

Rohit finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament as he gave the team explosive starts. The opener scored 257 runs in eight innings at an average of 36.71 and a strike rate of 156.70, including three fifties to his name. Several Mumbai Indians teammates and other Indian cricketers, including Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Krunal Pandya, KL Rahul and all-time great Mahendra Singh Dhoni, enjoyed the moment among the spectators. Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who was travelling, could not attend.
