Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu is coming to Delhi, will meet PM Modi, has a long list of demands!

Naidu will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is also likely to meet Home Minister Amit Shah as well as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He may seek funds to complete the Polavaram dam project, and additional funds, concessions and tax exemptions if the state cannot be granted special category status.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh’s N Chandrababu Naidu will be in the national capital on Wednesday and Thursday. Naidu is expected to arrive in the capital with a long list of demands. After coming to power in the recently concluded elections, this is the first time he is going to meet Union ministers specifically on issues related to the state. Earlier, he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Naidu will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is also likely to meet Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman besides Home Minister Amit Shah. He may seek funds to complete the Polavaram dam project, and additional funds, concessions and tax exemptions if the state cannot be granted special category status. State government sources said Naidu took a general report on pending irrigation projects, the state of infrastructure including the Amaravati capital project, state highways and roads, and the financial condition of the state. It is understood that all these issues will be discussed.

It is learnt that there are three ministers from Andhra Pradesh in the Modi Cabinet and they will accompany the CM in the meetings. The TDP, which won 16 Lok Sabha seats, is an alliance partner of the NDA. TDP’s Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu is the Union Minister for Civil Aviation while Guntur MP P Chandrasekhar is the Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications. BJP MP from Narasapuram B R Srinivasa Varma is the Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Minister for Steel.
