The morning of Friday, September 20 has brought a lot of happiness for the fans of Apple company. Apple phone fans were seen standing in long queues outside the company’s stores in Delhi and Mumbai. People are seen crazy to buy Apple iPhone 16 series outside many stores. It has become available for sale in India from today itself.
The Apple iPhone 16 series was launched at Apple’s global event earlier this month. Apple stores in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Saket witnessed huge crowds this morning, which is proof that Apple’s new device can still attract people. People were seen queuing up in both cities to buy the new generation iPhones.
In a video shared by news agency ANI, the line of customers at Select City Walk, Saket – the shopping mall that houses the Apple Store – stretched across the entire mall floor. Similarly, the Apple Store at BKC in Mumbai also witnessed a massive crowd. Over 37 million iPhone models were reserved in the pre-sale before the iPhone 16 series went on sale on September 20.
Apple today launched the iPhone 16 lineup in nearly 60 countries, including the US, China, Australia, and South Korea. The lineup includes four models – the standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, as well as the high-end iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The source said that the company plans to start assembling the iPhone Pro series in India for the first time, but sales of those models will begin later. This is the first time the company is selling the iPhone Pro series at a lower price than the previous version, mainly due to the import duty cut in the recent Budget. “The iPhone 16 Pro starts at Rs 1,19,900 and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,44,900,” the company said in a statement. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max were launched about a year ago at a starting price of ₹1,34,900 and ₹1,59,900.
