Arvind Kejriwal lashed out at Modi in the public court, told why the PM put him and AAP leaders in jail

Aam Aadmi Party organized ‘Janta Ki Adalat’ on Sunday at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. During this, the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal addressed the public. He said that PM Modi sent him to jail because of his honest work. Kejriwal said that for the last ten years he was running the government honestly, he made electricity and water free, made treatment free for the people, made education excellent. Seeing his honesty, the PM started feeling that to win over him, his honesty will have to be attacked, so to prove AAP dishonest, he put each of its leaders in jail.
Taking a dig at PM Modi, Kejriwal further said, ‘Modi ji imposed the country’s toughest law on us, PMLA law, in which you don’t even get bail but the Supreme Court granted bail to all of us. I cannot live with this stain, leave alone working, I cannot even live with this stain.’ He further said, ‘That’s why I thought that I will go to the people’s court. If I was dishonest, I would have embezzled the three thousand crore rupees given for free electricity, would not have made rent free for women, would not have built schools for children, they have government in 22 states, electricity is not free anywhere, rent is not free for women anywhere, then who is the thief? I want to ask you whether Kejriwal is a thief or the people who sent Kejriwal to jail are thieves?’

Kejriwal started his address at Jantar Mantar and said, ‘It feels good to be amongst you. Today I remembered the old days here at Jantar Mantar. I still remember the date, it was 4th April 2011 when the anti-corruption movement of independent India, Anna Andolan, started from here. The government of that time challenged us to contest the elections and win them, to contest the elections we needed money, goons, men and we did not have all this. We had neither money nor men nor goons, how could we contest the elections, then we contested the elections and the public made us win. In 2013, we proved in the country that elections can be contested honestly and elections can also be won honestly.’
On resigning from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi, Kejriwal told the public that you must be wondering why I resigned. I resigned because I did not come to do corruption, I do not have greed for power, I do not have hunger for the CM’s chair, I did not come to earn money, if I had to earn money, I would have worked in income tax, I would have earned crores of rupees in that, but I came for the country.
Kejriwal further said, ‘These leaders have thick skin, they are not affected by allegations, I am affected, I am not a leader. I will leave the CM’s bungalow in a few days, I don’t even have a house. I have earned only love in ten years, the result of which is that I am getting calls from so many people asking me to take my house. After the Shraadh is over, at the beginning of Navratri, I will leave home and come and stay at the house of one of you.’

While asking questions to Mohan Bhagwat, Kejriwal said, ‘RSS people say that we are nationalists and patriots. With all due respect, I want to ask Mohan Bhagwat five questions – the way Modi ji is breaking parties across the country and bringing down governments by luring them or threatening them with ED and CBI, is this correct?; Modi ji has included the most corrupt leaders in his party, whom he himself calls corrupt, do you agree with such politics?; BJP was born from the womb of RSS, it is the responsibility of RSS to not let BJP go astray, have you ever stopped Modi ji from doing wrong things?’
He further said, ‘JP Nadda had said during the Lok Sabha elections that he does not need RSS. Has the son grown so much that he has started showing his displeasure? The son is showing his displeasure with the parent organization. Didn’t you feel sad when he said this?; You people have made a law that leaders will retire after 75 years, Amit Shah is saying that this rule will not apply to Modi ji.’
