A tense moment unfolded when the helicopter carrying Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) national president Chirag Paswan narrowly escaped a crash near the helipad in Mohaddi Nagar in Bihar’s Ujiarpur Lok Sabha constituency. The worrying incident occurred when Paswan’s helicopter was in the process of landing at the designated helipad. However, it narrowly escaped a potential accident, raising serious concerns about safety measures for such operations.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported and both Paswan and his team escaped safely. Nevertheless, the incident highlights the inherent risks associated with helicopter travel during critical moments such as landing and takeoff. Although a disaster was averted by the quick response of the pilot and ground crew at the helipad, it prompts closer scrutiny of safety standards and protocols during high-profile trips. Questions may arise regarding the adequacy of security measures and adherence to established procedures.

Earlier on May 2, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan had filed his nomination papers from Hajipur Lok Sabha seat with much fanfare. Chirag Paswan, the current MP from Jamui parliamentary constituency, has contested the elections from here to strengthen his position as the successor of his late father Ram Vilas Paswan in his old parliamentary constituency Hajipur. Ram Vilas Paswan was elected several times from Hajipur Lok Sabha seat. Chirag Paswan has fielded his brother-in-law Arun Bharti this time from Jamui parliamentary constituency.
