Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren accused the BJP of spreading poison in the society in the name of religion, caste, love jihad and flood jihad. Soren also claimed that there was a conspiracy to weaken the reservation of Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The chief minister made these remarks while addressing a government function in Hazaribagh, where he transferred the first instalment of Rs 1,000 each into the accounts of women beneficiaries under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana (JMMSY).
On this occasion, a total amount of Rs 139.40 crore was transferred to the accounts of 13.94 lakh beneficiaries of seven districts Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Koderma, Ramgarh and Chatra. Attacking the BJP, Soren said, “The BJP brings leaders from Assam, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh because its leaders here are not capable.” He said that these leaders are spreading poison in the society in the name of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, forward-backward. Targeting Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma without naming him, Soren said, recently a BJP Chief Minister called the flood in his state as flood jihad.
The interesting thing is that now they are looking for Hindus-Muslims, upper castes-backward castes, tribals and Dalits even in water. Sometimes they used to say love jihad, sometimes education jihad and now they say flood jihad. Beware of such people,” Soren said. The chief minister alleged that there was a conspiracy to snatch away the reservation of tribals and Dalits. He said that a Bharat Bandh has been called on Wednesday to protest against this. Soren alleged that the central government was preparing to snatch away the rights of tribals, Dalits, backward castes and minorities in the country in a planned manner.
