BJP, which advocates ‘one nation, one election’, is unable to conduct simultaneous elections in four states: Pilot

Jaipur. Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Saturday attacked the Centre and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, which advocates ‘one nation, one election’, is unable to conduct simultaneous elections even in four states. The Congress leader said that the government is unable to conduct by-elections in many states and even in Wayanad. Pilot told reporters in Tonk, “The government which used to say that there should be ‘one nation, one election’ cannot conduct simultaneous elections of even four states or does not want to do so. The by-election for Wayanad Lok Sabha seat is pending… for some unknown reason the Election Commission did not announce elections everywhere.”
He claimed that Congress is going to form the government with majority in Haryana. Sachin Pilot said that elections are going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years and there too the ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (IND) alliance will perform better. On the Udaipur violence, Pilot appealed to maintain peace and said that people should not pay attention to rumors. He said, “The government should strictly maintain law and order. If there is any dispute somewhere, it should be resolved by mutual understanding. Such incidents do not benefit anyone. People should maintain peace. “
On the situation in Bangladesh, the Congress leader said that no one can support violence in any country. He said, “I demand from the central government that they should put pressure and ensure the safety of the minorities who are being tortured in Bangladesh.” On the devastation caused by rain in eastern Rajasthan, he said that it is ironic whether the disaster and relief department is working in the state or not. He said that the government should take steps and help the farmers who have suffered losses due to heavy rains.
He said, “This is not the first time such a situation has arisen. Often crops are damaged due to rain. The government should make a simple process to resolve this. The government should provide compensation with immediate effect in Tonk district where damage has occurred.” He said that due to heavy rains in Rajasthan in the last few days, many people have lost their lives and property has also been damaged. There has been heavy damage to crops in rural areas. The government should conduct a special assessment of the damage with immediate effect to provide relief.
