Hyundai Motor India has revealed the Alcazar facelift and it will go on sale on September 9, 2024. Bookings for the new Alcazar have begun across India at an amount of Rs 25,000. The Alcazar will have four trim options (Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature) as well as 6 and 7-seat variants. The new Alcazar will compete with cars like the Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N and Tata Safari in India.
The Alcazar has received significant changes in terms of design. Its front end now resembles the Creta, with a new rectangular grille flanked by quad-beam LED headlights and H-shaped DRLs on either side, which are connected by an LED bar. The front bumper as well as the front hood design are new. There are some changes to the profile as well, including new creases and a new design for the alloy wheels.
The new Alcazar is expected to get more features than before, including Level 2 ADAS features, especially on the top-spec model. The three-row SUV will come with 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, along with manual and automatic transmission options, including a 7-speed dual-clutch for the petrol and a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel. Hyundai will offer nine colour options, including a new Robust Emerald Matte.
The current Alcazar is priced between ₹ 16.78 lakh and ₹ 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices are expected to be revised compared to the current model on sale. Hyundai has added over 70 connected car features to the new Alcazar. The SUV gets over 40 standard safety features and over 70 total safety features including ADAS. The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift continues to have the powertrain options of the current model. It gets a 1.5-litre turbo GDi petrol engine (160PS and 253Nm) and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine (116PS and 250Nm). The petrol mill gets 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT options, while the diesel motor gets 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT torque converter options.
