The eighth seeded pair of Bopanna and Sutjiadi defeated Australia’s John Peers and Czech Republic’s Katerina Siniakova 0-6, 7-6 (5) 10-7 in a second round match that lasted one hour and 13 minutes. They also started well and we changed the strategy a bit by changing the pace which also helped.” Bopanna and Sutjiadi will next face fourth seeded pair of Matthew Ebden and Barbora Krejcikova. Bopanna and his partner had defeated Germany’s Tim Puetz and Netherlands’ Demi Schuurs 7-6 (7) 7-6 (5) in the opening round. The pair of Bopanna and Ebden had already reached the third round of the men’s doubles. They defeated Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena and Argentina’s Federico Coria 6-2, 6-4 in the second round.
