The PCB has approached the BCCI and proposed an arrangement in which India would be allowed to return to New Delhi or Chandigarh between matches during next year’s Champions Trophy if the team is unwilling to remain in Pakistan for security reasons. .
The PCB has verbally suggested to the BCCI that the Indian team can camp in New Delhi or Chandigarh or Mohali and use a special flight to Lahore for its matches. However, a PCB source confirmed this but also said that the board has not given any suggestion in writing. “But yes, it is true that these options have been discussed verbally among the officials to ensure that India plays its matches in Pakistan,” the source said.
