CM Yogi again lashed out at Congress’ manifesto, said – Party wants to implement Aurangzeb’s Jizya tax

YEARS

Yogi said that on the other hand PM Modi says that the heritage should be respected because our movement for Ram temple in Ayodhya continued for five hundred years in which lakhs of Hindus were martyred.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday attacked the Congress party and its manifesto, saying it talks about promoting ‘Jizya’ and cow slaughter and compared it to the “brutal rule of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb”. He said that you have heard the name of the cruel Mughal ruler named Aurangzeb. Civilized Muslim families do not name their children after him. He imposed Jizya tax. What is this? This is the inheritance tax that Congress is talking about.

Yogi said that on the other hand PM Modi says that the heritage should be respected because our movement for Ram temple in Ayodhya continued for five hundred years in which lakhs of Hindus were martyred. He further said, “Leave aside the matter of respecting heritage, Congress is talking about imposing tax on the property of your ancestors. Rahul Gandhi says that after his party comes to power, he will X-ray your property and take half of it and it will be called inheritance tax. Will you ever pay Jizya? No Indian can accept this.

Further attacking the Congress manifesto, he said that the party will try to reduce the reservation benefits of SC, ST and OBC and give it to its vote banks as it did in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It is noteworthy that Yogi Adityanath was referring to the decision of the Congress government of Karnataka, in which all communities of Muslims were included in the OBC category. Earlier, Congress was indicating that BJP was demanding 400 seats to change the Constitution and end reservation.

Now UP CM has made the same allegation against Congress. Linking it to cow slaughter and eating beef, Yogi also claimed that Congress wants to give every kind of freedom to eat and drink to the minorities. He also talked about the decline in incidents of terrorism and said, “Before 2014, terrorism and Naxalism were at their peak. But now even when firecrackers are burst in India, Pakistan comes forward to give clarification. This is the new India. We are not aggressive. But we do not spare those who take steps against us.
