Lucknow. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Culture Department has started preparing for a grand event on the upcoming Navratri festival. Various cultural events will be held in all the Devi temples and Shaktipeeths across the state. Let us tell you that a special campaign “Mission Shakti” is being run in the state for the safety, respect and self-reliance of women and girls. In this sequence, many cultural programs have been proposed in the state by the Culture Department with the participation of women and girls.
Committee will be formed at district, tehsil and block level
According to the Principal Secretary of the Culture Department, Mukesh Meshram, in the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri from 3rd October to 12th October, while ensuring the participation of women and girls in the Devi temples and Shaktipeeths of the state, there will be a massive publicity of the laws implemented by the government for women’s safety. Apart from this, on the occasion of Ashtami and Navami, Ramayan Paath will be organized in the major Shaktipeeth temples to promote social values and national values and to connect the general public with it. Like last year, for this event, the program will be conducted by forming district level, tehsil level and development block level committees in each district.

Local public participation will be in line with Mission Shakti
He informed that all the District Magistrates of the state will select local folk artists, Bhajan Mandalis, Kirtan Mandalis in the Devi temples, Shakti Peeths selected in their districts through a committee constituted under their chairmanship, which will be coordinated by the Culture Department and the Information and Public Relations Department. All the programs will be organized with local public participation in accordance with “Mission Shakti”. Local artists can be selected from the e-directory of the Culture Department.
All necessary arrangements should be made
Principal Secretary Mukesh Meshram has directed all district magistrates that the district administration should ensure timely arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, security, sound, light and carpeting etc. at the venue of every cultural programme and the events should be ensured by obtaining No Objection Certificate from the competent level at all the venues. Besides this, while selecting important Devi temples and Shaktipeeths, the address of the concerned venue, photo, GPS location and contact number of the manager, name, address and mobile number of the artists should be sent to the Culture Department. For the successful implementation of the programme, Assistant Director of Culture Department Reenu Rangbharati has been nominated as the nodal officer.
