The picture of the electoral contest on two assembly seats of the country’s IT city Gurugram has become clear. BJP has fielded Mukesh Sharma and Congress has fielded Mohit Grover on the Gurugram seat, but the Badshahpur seat of this district is being discussed more because of former minister Rao Narbir Singh contesting. Making a strong comeback after five years, Rao Narbir Singh has got the ticket from Badshahpur again. 63-year-old Rao Narbir Singh became the Minister of State for Home in Haryana at the age of 25. Which is a record till now.
Congress has fielded Vardhan Yadav against three-time Haryana minister Rao Narbir. A lot of urban area comes under Gurugram’s Badshahpur seat. It also includes many posh societies. Many sectors of Dwarka Expressway are also a part of this assembly. Badshahpur is the seat with the highest number of voters in Haryana. Congress’s Vardhan Yadav is originally from Gurugram. He came forward in the party organization after being active in NSUI. In the Lok Sabha elections, Vardhan Yadav played a big role in managing the election campaign of film actor Raj Babbar.
He is considered a part of Deepender Hooda’s team. 35-year-old Vardhan Yadav is contesting his first election. In such a situation, while his being young and undisputed is a strength, on the other hand Rao Narbir is a big player in politics. Vardhan Yadav is currently an AICC member. Earlier, he has held the responsibility of National Secretary of Indian Youth Congress and before that National General Secretary and State President of NSUI. In 2014, he became a minister in Manohar Lal 1.0 after winning from Badshahpur. Then his status was that of number two minister, but in 2019 his ticket was cut.
