Indian-origin Canadian MP Chandra Arya has criticized the demand for a fresh investigation into the 1985 bombing of Air India Flight 182, saying it promotes a conspiracy by Khalistani extremists. Addressing the Canadian Parliament, Arya said two Canadian public inquiries have already found Khalistani militants responsible for the bombing of Air India ‘Kanishka’ flight that killed 329 people.
The MP said that 39 years ago, Air India Flight 182 was blown up by a bomb planted by Khalistani extremists from Canada. Even today, the ideology responsible for this terrorist attack remains alive among some people in Canada. Two Canadian public inquiries found Khalistan extremists responsible for the Air India plane bombing. In the year 1985, a flight takes off from Montreal Airport, Canada. The destination of this flight was Mumbai. But in between the flight makes a halt in London. Therefore the flight enters Irish airspace. When the plane was over the Atlantic Ocean it suddenly disappears from radar. Later the plane falls straight into the sea from a height of 31 thousand feet. Atlantic becomes a graveyard that day for 329 people, including 82 children and 4 infants.
About an hour before the plane crash, a bomb exploded in the baggage area and two people lost their lives. When the investigation took place, no one even thought that these two accidents were related. Later it was revealed that the target of this conspiracy was India and the conspiracy was carried out by a terrorist organization named Babbar Khalsa.
