Amit Shah made a series of announcements today during the election campaign in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. Amit Shah announced that we will reduce the cost of electricity for farmers by 50%, build an international airport metro rail in Jammu and repair 100 temples every year which were destroyed by terrorists. He further said that we will also construct Tawi Riverfront and bring water sports in Ranjit Sagar Dam. We have decided to provide 5 lakh government jobs and 5 marla (local unit of measurement) land to the eligible beneficiaries.

At the same time, Shah said in Jasrota that due to the end of terrorism, there has been a record 55 percent voting in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Farooq Saheb, now those days are gone when he used to go to Lok Sabha after getting 8 thousand votes. Now democracy has become stronger in Jammu and Kashmir. He alleged that NC and Congress had patronized terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir for years. They kept giving strength to terrorism for 40 years, 40 thousand youth of Jammu and Kashmir were martyred, but they don’t care. Terrorism increased the most during the rule of Farooq Saheb, Congress and NC.
The BJP leader clearly said that the agenda of NC is to bring back Article 370. Hey, Omar Abdullah, listen carefully… Even if your third generation comes, Article 370 cannot come back. He breathlessly said that Abdullah Saheb and Rahul Baba, listen with open ears…this is Narendra Modi government, we will bury terrorism till the underworld. Today I go to the brave land of Jasrota saying that as long as terrorism continues, we will answer Pakistan’s bullets with shells.

Shah said that in your times there was 10-10 percent voting, in our times 50 to 65 percent voting is happening. This shows that democracy has strengthened in Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed that NC, Congress and PDP kept Jammu and Kashmir deprived of development and suffering from terrorism for years. BJP has opened new avenues of development by ending terrorism.
