Cummins’ regular teammates in the Test team, fast bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc have also been included in Australia’s 14-man squad. Opening batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk, who struggled to score runs in Australia’s T20 series against Scotland in September, has been given another chance.
McGurk could not even open his account in two matches against Scotland, whereas in one match he scored 16 runs. He scored 50 runs off 30 balls against England but after this he was not selected for the five-match ODI series. The first match between Australia and Pakistan will be played on November 4 in Melbourne, the second match on November 8 at Adelaide Oval and the third and final match on November 10 in Perth.
