New Delhi. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government over the waterlogging situation in Delhi after the rains and said that the people of Delhi are again facing the consequences of the Delhi government’s negligence. As soon as the rains start, waterlogging situation arises and most of the areas of Delhi get submerged in water.
Due to the rain this morning, from Badarpur to ITO and from there to Mundka, Chhattarpur to Sangam Vihar, Badarpur to Karkardooma and Vasant Kunj to Najafgarh, when the people of Delhi went out to work this morning, there was water everywhere and Delhi remained at a standstill till afternoon.
Sachdeva said that today an auto driver narrowly escaped death under Minto Bridge, the same situation was seen in Zakhira underpass. Virendra said that the Delhi government, its Delhi Jal Board and its 60 MLAs have failed to deal with the problem of waterlogging, due to which the whole of Delhi has turned into a slum cluster.
Expressing deep concern over waterlogging, he said that the failure of the Arvind Kejriwal government to tackle waterlogging and provide clean drinking water will be a major issue in the upcoming assembly elections. Due to the negligence of the Aam Aadmi Party government, accidents are constantly happening in Delhi, but the Kejriwal government is not taking any concrete steps for this.
Virendra Sachdeva said that this is 100% government negligence, the Delhi government is only interested in corruption and does not care about people’s lives. Why is the Delhi government the enemy of Delhiites? He said that the Kejriwal government does not do any work on time and when a situation like waterlogging is seen in Delhi, they only do drama on the roads to get photos clicked.
The Delhi BJP president has demanded that a list of permanent waterlogging spots be made and security marshals be appointed there so that people do not go near such sensitive spots. He said that if the Kejriwal government gets free time from just doing corruption and looting the people of Delhi, then it will be able to take a decision in the interest of the people of Delhi.
