After the Corona virus infection period, the culture of work from home started gaining momentum in the country and the world. Many companies around the world followed this and provided the facility to their employees to work from home. Meanwhile, tech company Dell Technologies has taken a new decision for its employees.
Dell Technologies has decided that global sales team employees who are able to work from company offices will have to come to the office for five days a week from September 30. News agency Reuters was quoted as saying that the company has made this change with the aim of taking advantage of the collaborative environment in the office and enhancing skills. For this the team needs to be in one office.
In this regard, the company has issued a statement in which it was said that remote working in the office should be an exception rather than a routine task. Regional representatives on the sales team, in particular, are expected to spend five days a week with customers and partners or in the office. Earlier the team had to work from the office three days per week.
According to Dell, “remote sales team members who cannot go into a Dell office should continue to work remotely.” The company also said it would provide more information related to remote workers in the coming weeks. Due to the Covid pandemic, many companies had allowed employees to work from home, but now tech companies want employees to return to the office two to three days a week.
This has come to light at a time when e-commerce giant Amazon.com has said that from next year its employees will have to return to work in the company’s offices five days per week, as it has violated the earlier three-day mandatory order. Has been tightened.
