Did Uddhav Thackeray give up his claim to the CM post under any pressure? Know what Sanjay Raut said

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday defended party chief Uddhav Thackeray’s appeal to Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies to declare their chief ministerial candidate ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections and rejected claims of pressure politics behind it. “Uddhav Thackeray has shown generosity of heart. It was not pressure politics. This stand will benefit Maharashtra,” the Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) MP told reporters.

Sanjay Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray does not need to come forward, he did not come forward even in 2019, everyone together made him CM. Now talking about 2024, Uddhav Thackeray never said that I will become CM, listen to yesterday’s speech. He said that if Congress NCP has any face then bring it forward, Uddhav Thackeray is ready to support that face, but Uddhav Thackeray is in the hearts of the people of Maharashtra. He stressed that there are no differences between the MVA allies over the seat sharing formula for the assembly elections to be held later this year.
Earlier, in the meeting of Maha Vikas Aghadi, Uddhav Thackeray declared that the Maharashtra assembly elections will be a fight to protect the self-respect of the state. Regarding the post of Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray said that whatever CM face of Maha Vikas Aghadi is decided, I will support him. Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) should suggest their CM face, I will support him because we have to work for the betterment of Maharashtra and I want to answer these ’50 hollow people’ and ‘traitors’ that people want from us.

Thackeray said that after the experience of alliance with BJP, we believe that we should not adopt the policy of giving the CM post to the party with the most MLAs in the alliance. He said that in the last several elections in alliance with BJP, we have experienced that in order to get more and more MLAs, the parties themselves try to defeat the candidates of their other alliance parties. Therefore, I am not in favor of the fact that the party with the most MLAs should get the CM post.
