During the road show of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, an electric pole on Super Bazaar Road near Bharat Mata Chowk caught fire, after which the route of her road show was changed. Later the fire was extinguished and there were no casualties. During the road show, Mehbooba Mufti said that BJP has run politics from Parliament in Kashmir. They give money to the people whom they help to win and support them through the administration. National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah on Wednesday criticised the Centre’s move to invite foreign delegations to observe the ongoing assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, saying elections are India’s internal matter and we do not need their certificate. “I don’t know why foreigners should be asked to scrutinise elections here?” Abdullah told reporters here. He said when governments of other countries comment on it, the Indian government says it is India’s internal matter and now suddenly they want foreign observers to come here and observe our elections.
