Fire broke out in Thailand’s school bus, 25 people including students burnt to death

At least 10 children have died after a school bus caught fire outside Bangkok. According to local media, there were 25 school children on board the boat. The bus, carrying 44 students and several teachers from Wat Khao Phaya School in Uthai Thani, was headed to Ayutthaya on a sightseeing trip when one of its front tires burst, according to local media, Thailand Nation. Due to this the vehicle lost control and collided with a metal barrier and the accident caused a fire which instantly engulfed the entire bus.
The bus was carrying 44 passengers from central Uthai Thani province to Ayutthaya on a school trip when it caught fire in Pathum Thani province, a northern suburb of the capital, around noon, Transport Minister Suria Jungrunrungkit told reporters at the scene.

Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said authorities could not yet confirm the death toll because they had not completed investigating the scene, but based on the number of survivors he said 25 people were feared dead. . He also said that the bus was still so hot that it was not possible for him to get inside safely. The bodies were still inside the bus hours after the fire.

Videos posted on social media showed that the entire bus was engulfed in flames and a huge amount of black smoke was coming out from the bus parked on the road. The age and other details of the students are not known yet. A rescuer present at the spot told Surya that the fire probably broke out after a tire burst and the vehicle hit a road barrier. Rescue group Hongsakul Khlong Luang 21 posted on its Facebook page that they found at least 10 bodies on the bus.
