Former cricketer Simon Doull made a big claim, said- he got threats for criticizing Virat Kohli

Veteran batsman Virat Kohli performed brilliantly in the recently concluded IPL 2024. He was the highest run scorer in the season and was awarded the Orange Cap after the league. But there was a lot of discussion about his strike rate this season, while when his team was out of the tournament, his strike rate was 154.70, which is his season best. During this, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull has made a big claim regarding Virat Kohli’s strike rate matter. He said that he had received death threats for criticizing Kohli.

Former New Zealand fast bowler and commentator Simon Doull is also among those who criticized Kohli’s strike rate. However, he said after the season that according to him, Kohli was the best batsman of the season. Doull also pointed out the other aspects of criticizing a player like Kohli.

Simon said, I am seeing a wonderful player. A player who should have dominated more than before. I said the same thing when there was talk about his strike rate. I felt that he was afraid of getting out because he was worried about what was behind him, not what he was doing. This is the same thing I said about Babar and after talking about this in Pakistan, I spoke to him and he said that his coaches also told him the same thing. The thing I liked about Kohli this year was his desire to hit sixes.

Simon further said that, he is so good that he should not worry about getting out and this is what I have always said. I have said thousands of good things about Virat Kohli, but if I say anything negative, I get death threats. This is a matter of shame.
