Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who is often in the news for his statements, received a threatening call from a Pakistan-registered number. Actually this call had come to his representative Amarendra Kumar Amar. This WhatsApp call had come from a Pakistani number in which Giriraj Singh and Amarendra Kumar Amar were threatened with dire consequences. Amar told that the call came through WhatsApp at 11.28 am. During the call, the caller used abusive language and made threats against Singh.
Amar, who also manages the Khagaria district unit of the BJP, immediately lodged a complaint with the local police. Officials confirmed that a police team visited Amar’s residence soon after the complaint was filed. Officers also noted that the caller referenced the arrest of an unspecified individual. Police have registered a case of criminal intimidation and investigation is ongoing.
At the same time, Giriraj Singh’s statement has also come out on the entire matter. Giriraj Singh said that I did not receive it on my mobile. Our party leader Amarendra received it from Begusarai. The BJP leader further said that he has informed the police and they are investigating it. But we are not afraid of any threat. We are working for Sanatan and will continue to do so.
