Haryana Congress President and four-time MLA from Hodal Assembly constituency Udaybhan has been declared as the Congress candidate. His supporters are very happy. Ever since he got the ticket, there has been a festive atmosphere among the party supporters and workers. Due to which they have started preparing for the elections with full vigor. Congress’s 48-year-old candidate Udaybhan has been an MLA once on Lok Dal ticket, twice as a Congress MLA and once as an independent. So far he has contested elections a total of eight times. Before him, his father Gayalal Chaudhary has been an MLA from Hasanpur reserved seat. State Congress President Udaybhan has influence not only on Hodal, but also on the people of Scheduled Caste category in Palwal, Faridabad and entire Haryana.
He became MLA for the first time in 1987
Udaybhan contested the election for the first time in 1987 on a Lok Dal ticket and won. After which he was an MLA from Hasanpur assembly from 1987 to 1991. Along with this, he was also the chairman of Uday Bhan Kribhco from December 1989 to May 1993. In the year 2000, he once again contested the election from Hasanpur assembly as an independent candidate and won. In the year 2005, he once again contested the election from Hodal assembly on the ticket of Indian National Congress and won. He contested the 2009 election on a Congress ticket and lost the election. In the assembly elections held in the year 2014, he contested on a Congress ticket. He won for the fourth time as well. In 2019, he again contested on a Congress ticket and lost the election.
He is currently the President of Haryana Congress
At present Udaybhan is the president of Haryana Congress. This time the election is a matter of prestige for him. This time the leaders of BJP and other opposition parties are trying their best to defeat him. Being the president, it is very important for him to win the election himself and win all the three seats of Palwal district.
