Political discussions are intensifying regarding the Haryana assembly elections. The main contest is believed to be between BJP and Congress. Amidst all this, statements are also coming out in the BJP regarding the CM post. First Rao Inderjit Singh and now Anil Vij’s statement may increase the tension of the BJP. Both have staked their claim for the CM post. At the same time, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has made it clear that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is the Bharatiya Janata Party’s chief ministerial candidate in the state and said that under his leadership the party will make a hat-trick of victory in the state.

When asked about Vij’s remarks, the Union education minister told reporters in Karnal that ‘being a party worker he would have said so, but Nayab Singh Saini is the BJP’s CM face. Pradhan exuded confidence that the BJP will score a “hat-trick” by emerging victorious in the Haryana assembly polls and said, “Given the track record of the last 10 years, we will again get a chance to serve in Haryana.”
What did Anil Vij say?
Senior BJP leader and former Haryana minister Anil Vij said on Sunday that he will stake claim for the post of chief minister if the party returns to power after the assembly elections to be held on October 5 in the state. Before this comment of six-time MLA Vij, the BJP has already made it clear that if it returns to power, Nayab Singh Saini will be the Chief Minister. Vij said, “I have never asked for anything from the party till date… People of Haryana are coming to meet me. Even in Ambala, people tell me that I am the most senior, but I did not become the Chief Minister. Based on the demand of the people and seniority, this time I will stake claim to become the Chief Minister.
