Pappi Yadav said that I refused to do road service as they had no proper parking arrangement and in our experience arrival of many vehicles creates chaos.

The police and the main organiser of the Hathras Satsang were alerted about possible mismanagement a day before the tragedy. Eyewitness Pappi Yadav himself was a member of the Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavna Samagam committee and was given the responsibility of looking after road traffic management. He claimed that a day before the accident, he had alerted the main organiser Dev Prakash Madhukar and the local police about the mismanagement due to lack of proper parking facility. Several other eyewitnesses also said that the road was packed with vehicles, making the exit route narrow, leading to the stampede.

Pappi Yadav said that I refused to do road seva as they had no proper parking arrangement and in our experience the arrival of many vehicles creates chaos. I realised the problem and told Dev Prakash Madhukar, but he did nothing. I also asked the local police to block a road for movement. I don’t know why, but they did not pay heed.

Pappi Yadav claimed that they have shifted their duty knowing that there will be mismanagement. He further said that the committee members who are hiding should not do so and should either come out through media persons like you or come in front of the police.
