Deputy Managing Director Kaizad M Bharucha said since its launch in 2014, ‘Parivartan’ has become one of the largest CSR programmes in India.

HDFC Bank has set a target to increase the income of five lakh marginal farmers earning less than Rs 60,000 per annum by 2025 under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative ‘Parivartan’. Kaizad M Bharucha, Deputy Managing Director of the country’s largest private sector bank, said, “The bank’s focus on rural development reflects our continued commitment to promote sustainable development and upliftment of vulnerable communities.”
He said since its launch in 2014, ‘Parivartan’ has become one of India’s largest CSR programmes. The initiative is active in 28 states and eight union territories. HDFC Bank ‘Parivartan’ was launched in 2014 to contribute to the socio-economic development of communities across the country.
With a CSR expenditure of over Rs 5,100 crore in the last decade, Parivartan has consistently aimed to empower individuals by providing sustainable livelihood means and promoting sustainable development. He said the bank plans to impart skill training to about two lakh individuals under its CSR initiatives. Apart from this, there are also plans to launch initiatives to increase irrigation facilities, improve agricultural productivity and provide scholarships to meritorious underprivileged students.
