Former Bihar minister Shyam Rajak joined the Janata Dal United on Sunday. JDU national working president Sanjay Jha gave Rajak the party membership. During this time, many top leaders including party state president Umesh Kushwaha and minister Vijay Chaudhary were present there. Let us tell you, Rajak had resigned from RJD on 22 August.
After joining JDU, Rajak said, ‘I want to work and Nitish Kumar is a leader who focuses on work, he is working for those who are lagging behind even after 75 years of independence. In RJD, relationships are not of workers. These are only of family members.’

Rajak also strongly attacked RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. While answering the question of reservation, he said that agitations cannot be done by sitting in closed rooms. They should come out on the streets and sweat. On caste census, Rajak said, ‘Nitish Kumar conducted caste-based census in Bihar and decided to increase the scope of reservation. Now the matter is in the Supreme Court. I have full faith in Nitish Kumar, so I am returning to JDU.’

Rajak said on this occasion that he had joined RJD ‘in emotion’, but he felt insulted there. He said, ‘RJD is alleging that I have joined JDU only because the party is in power. They should remember that I had joined them after leaving the ministerial post. But, they disappointed me.’
