Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14 September, through which Hindi is promoted. Hindi Diwas is celebrated on this day because on 14 September 1949, Hindi was given the status of official language. After this, in 1953, the Official Language Promotion Committee decided to celebrate this day.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. In a post on social media handle X on the completion of 75 years of Hindi as the official language of the country, Amit Shah wrote that all Indian languages ​​are our pride and heritage and without enriching them we cannot move forward.
