In Hawaii, USA, a man shot and killed three people at a neighbor’s house

Three people were killed and two others injured in a shootout in Hawaii, USA, on Saturday night due to a dispute between neighbors. The attacker was also shot by a local man, who has been arrested in a case of involuntary manslaughter. Police gave this information.

Honolulu police Detective Lt. Dina Thoemmes said that, according to witnesses, a 58-year-old man used a “front-end loader” machine to hit cars before entering a home where a family function was taking place.

According to Thoemmes, the man opened fire on the people gathered at the house, killing three women from Wainainai, located about 48 kilometers west of downtown Honolulu. At that moment, a 42-year-old man living in the house shot the suspect, he said in a press conference.

A police spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for a reason for arresting the local resident. Thoemmes said the women who died were aged 34, 36 and 29. He said a 31-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were taken to hospital in serious condition.

The suspect, who has not been identified, had four drums of an unknown fuel in a “front-end loader,” Thoemmes said. Police Chief Joe Logan said at a news conference that the shooting was the latest in a string of shootings in the area over the past few weeks that have prompted police to vow to take steps to combat gun violence.
