Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India has won the T20 World Cup title. This was the second time in T20 cricket history that Team India achieved the distinction of becoming the world champion. The T20 World Cup 2024 concluded on 29 June and now the Indian team is on a tour of Zimbabwe where the young Indian team under the captaincy of Shubman Gill will play a 5-match T20 series against hosts Zimbabwe.

This series will start on 6th July i.e. Saturday and both the teams will face each other in Harare. Before this match, BCCI has shared a video in which the players who went on Zimbabwe tour congratulated Rohit Sharma and Team India. In this video, wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma, who went on Zimbabwe tour, said that he was praying for South Africa’s victory and not rice.

In the video shared by BCCI, Shubman Gill said that everyone worked hard and we got this victory. This victory inspired us a lot. Riyan Parag said that this victory is going to inspire the youth and we are proud of it. Abhishek Sharma said that I was watching the final match with Yuvi Paaji. When the Indian team was winning the final, he became very emotional. I got very inspired and felt very good seeing that. It is everyone’s dream to win the ICC trophy and Yuvi Paaji has won it for India. I cannot forget that moment and after India won, we went out and celebrated a lot.

Indian wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma, who went on Zimbabwe tour, said that initially when I was saying that India should win, South Africa’s team was winning. After this I started saying that South Africa should win, then the match turned in India’s favor and the team became the champion. I was very happy with India’s victory and I celebrated this victory on behalf of a child. Rituraj Gaikwad said that this was a big victory because at one place it seemed that we were losing the match, but we made a comeback and it was a great moment. Tushar Deshpande said that miracles happen and this was proved by India’s victory.
