This is Smriti Mandhana’s third century in the last four international matches. Earlier, she had scored two centuries during the ODI series against South Africa. Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma have broken their own record of opening partnership of 167 runs against England.

During the only Test against South Africa in Chennai on Friday, Smriti and Shefali set the record for the highest opening partnership in women’s Tests. The pair also broke the record of 241 runs set by Pakistan’s Kiran Baloch and Sajida Shah in 2004.
