India expects the most medals from Shooting, which is one of the most popular sports in the world

Shooting, one of the most popular sports in the world, is continuously increasing its popularity in the country and the world. In the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing, the capital of China, Abhinav Bindra won the gold medal in the individual event and played an important role in making this sport popular in India as well. Shooting is an expensive sport as compared to other sports. Because you need to have an expensive gun to aim in it. But, many players are bringing glory to the country in shooting by joining the Army and NCC, in which Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is the biggest example.

Under the rules of the game, a bullet has to be fired at a fixed target, which is known as Klein. Shooting has always been a permanent sport in the Olympic Games, but it was not included in the 1904 and 1928 games. Based on the gun used in each event, this sport is divided into three parts. Which includes rifle, pistol and shotgun. Under which there are three events each in rifle and shotgun, while there are 6 events in pistol.

In 50m rifle, men have to fire 40 rounds each in 3 positions kneeling, lying down and standing. While 20 rounds each are fixed for women. In 50m rifle, shots have to be fired while lying down. Apart from this, in 10m air rifle, shooting has to be done while standing. In this, men have to fire 60 rounds and women have to fire 40 rounds. There are 6 events in pistol of this game. In which 50m is for men and 60 + 20 and 30m are for girls. And in this, 30 bullets each have to be fired in rapid fire.

In 50 meter rapid fire, a shooter fires at 5 targets at different times. This is an event for men. 25 meter center fire is also a men’s event. In which 60 bullets have to be fired in two rounds. 50 meter standard pistol is also for men only, in which 20 rounds have to be fired in three rounds at different times. In 10 meter air pistol, men have to fire 60 rounds and women have to fire 40 rounds.

In Trap Shooter, an important event of the game, the player has to keep the gun straight and shoot at the target. In Double Trap, one has to aim at two fake words. Whereas, in Speed, fake words come from two different directions which have to be shot. India is expecting maximum medals in this sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In which medals are expected from Sharabjot Singh in 10m air rifle, Arjun Babuta in 10m men’s air rifle and Trilotama Sen in women’s 10m air rifle. Medals are expected from Manu Bhaker in 25m pistol, Anish Bhanwala in men’s 25m rapid fire pistol and Shreyanka in women’s 50m.
