These days, videos of lounges available at airports keep going viral in many YouTube vlogs. Now, this facility available at airports, where there is provision for rest and food, will also be available at railway stations. Indian Railways is constantly making efforts to provide better facilities to the passengers. This effort is going on everywhere from stations to trains. In this series, the facility of executive lounge is being provided for the stay of passengers at railway stations.
Recently, this facility has been started at Prayagraj station in Uttar Pradesh. Although a fee will have to be paid for staying here, there is a discussion going on whether entry facility can be provided on credit card like airports. The Railway Ministry is redeveloping 1334 big and small stations across the country. Many of these stations are being made like airports. Work has already started in this direction. Executive lounges are also being built at these stations.
Facilities available in the lounge
Facilities like comfortable sofas and charging points have been installed for the passengers to sit here. Passengers can use the executive lounge by paying a certain fee. Apart from this, passengers can buy breakfast, food, water, tea, coffee and packed items in the executive lounge. Newspapers and medicines will be available here.
At present, lounges are present at all the airports of the country. After entering, you can stay in these lounges for two hours. You can sit and relax here. There is also a buffet arrangement for food and drinks, for this facility you will have to pay a fee of more than Rs 1000. With the credit card of many banks, you get entry for just two rupees. You can go inside and eat whatever you want.
Meanwhile, a Railway Ministry official said that the lounge has been outsourced. The concerned companies will be suggested to give such offers. After such expensive entry, entry to the airport becomes almost free with a credit card, so this can be possible at the station as well, so that more and more passengers can take advantage of it. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC)’s executive lounge service is available at many major railway stations in India. You can wait for the train comfortably in this executive lounge. Passengers can avail tea-coffee, magazines, newspapers, Wi-Fi, train information, toilet and other facilities in the railway lounge. However, a fee will have to be paid for using this facility.
