IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers posted such a post that even Anupam Mittal could not stop himself from replying

IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Peter Albers has completed two years in the airline. He has been in India during the last two years. In such a situation, he has shared a post on LinkedIn about his time spent in India. Peter Albers has been at the helm of India’s largest airline since 2022. Reflecting on his professional and personal experience in India, Peter Albers said that this country is now his home.

IndiGo has grown rapidly over the past few years. Peter Albers also mentioned the airline operating more than 2,000 flights daily. IndiGo serves more than 430 domestic and 100 international routes. He wrote, “On our 18th IndiGo birthday last month, we celebrated many great achievements and shared our ambitious plans for the years to come.

He said, “Our story has just begun. I am grateful and proud to be a part of this incredible IndiGo journey with my colleagues – giving wings to the country with over 2,000 daily flights, 430+ domestic and 100+ international routes, and growing further every day.”

Pieter Albers also said that he feels a personal connection with India. He said, “Being part of IndiGo and living in India for two years now… IndiGo and this beautiful country of India have truly become a part of me. India now feels like home.” Talking about his travel experiences in the country, he wrote, “The essence of India is encapsulated in its beautiful diversity. Of our 88 home cities, I had the privilege of meeting our great teams in 30. From Thiruvananthapuram in the south to Leh in the north. My most recent trip was to Leh, where walking with my son at an altitude of 18,000 feet over the Khardung La pass was very special, as my roots are from a country where the highest “hill” is only 300 meters high and about 25% of the land is below sea level.” His post received reactions from several industry leaders including Anupam Mittal, founder and CEO of Shaadi.com, who wrote, “Aap bhi ab ghar waale jaise lagte ho.”
