Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets, missiles and drones targeting northern Israel in retaliation for a recent Israeli attack that killed one of its top commanders and several fighters.
The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) has issued a warning to people in Lebanon to immediately leave their homes and other buildings. The Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group has stored weapons here. This announcement by the IDF has been seen for the first time in the series of Israel’s rapid attacks in Lebanon. This clearly shows that Israel is now in the mood to enter into a direct fight against Hezbollah. In a statement issued on the official X handle, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that we advise the citizens of Lebanese villages to immediately move away from the danger for their safety.
Hezbollah fired 100 rockets in northern Israel
Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets, missiles and drones targeting northern Israel in retaliation for a recent Israeli attack that killed one of its top commanders and several fighters. The attacks and counter-attacks have raised fears of a wider war even as Israel continues to fight Palestinian Hamas in Gaza and tries to recover several hostages taken in the October 7 attack. Hezbollah has vowed to continue its attacks to show solidarity with Iran-backed allied militant group Hamas and the Palestinians.
Israel issued a warning
According to Lebanese media, the message written in Arabic said that if you are in a building where Hezbollah has kept weapons, then leave that village until further notice. It was not immediately clear how many people were affected by the Israeli order. However, communities on both sides of the border have evacuated the area due to almost daily firing. Israel has accused Hezbollah of turning entire communities in the south into terrorist bases, with hidden rocket launchers and other infrastructure.
