Israeli troops have said they have rescued a hostage in southern Gaza as part of a “complex rescue operation”. The hostage was identified as Qaed Farhan al-Qaedhi, whose medical condition is reported to be normal. The Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that today, the IDF and ISA rescued hostage Qaed Farhan al-Qaedhi, age 52, from Rahat, who was kidnapped in Gaza by the Hamas terrorist organization on 7 October. His medical condition is stable and he is being transferred for medical checkups to a hospital. His family has been updated with the details, and the IDF is with them.
According to the Jerusalem Post, 52-year-old Alqadi is undergoing further health check-ups in a hospital. This is the fourth successful operation to rescue Israeli hostages alive from Hamas captivity in Gaza, many of the hostages are believed to have been killed by Hamas or died in the nearly year-long war between the Palestinian terror group and Hamas. The IDF and ISA have rescued Qaid Farhan Alqadi from Gaza, where he was held hostage, and brought him to his family in Israel. The operation was part of the IDF’s daring and courageous operations inside the Gaza Strip.
Alkadi is the eighth living hostage rescued from Gaza, bringing the number of remaining hostages to 108 from the original round of 250. About a third of the hostages still in Gaza are believed to be dead. We do everything possible to rescue the hostages. The IDF and Shin Bet showed courage, determination and initiative in a complex operation. Israeli television stations showed a military helicopter landing at a hospital while medical staff stood by.
