Earlier on September 22, before the third phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Chatru area of ​​Kishtwar district. Elections are being held in this area in three phases. The first phase of assembly elections was held on September 18 while the second phase of voting was held on September 25. This voting took place in Ganderbal, Budgam, Srinagar and six districts of Jammu region, Rajouri, Reasi and Poonch. The third and final phase of voting is to be held on October 1 while the counting of votes will take place on October 8.
