Bangladeshi extremists attacked another Hindu temple. On the night of 24 August, idols were broken in this temple in Sonahar village of Panchagarh district. This time on Janmashtami, the Hindus of Bangladesh are scared because they are not able to follow their religion properly. They are not even able to celebrate Janmashtami. Hindu colony of Dhaka where processions were taken out every year on Janmashtami. But now there is silence in the entire colony, it does not seem that this is Janmashtami. After the removal of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from the post, business establishments of minority Hindu population were targeted and temples were vandalized in the violence for several days. After the student movement against her government, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 and went to India.

Janmashtami is not being celebrated in ISKCON
Apart from this, the ISKCON temple which was set on fire by miscreants after the coup in Meherpur district of Bangladesh on the India-Bangladesh border, is not celebrating Janmashtami festival in that temple. The ISKCON temple in Meherpur, an area near the India-Bangladesh border and a stronghold of Jamaat-e-Islami, was attacked and during this the protesters burnt the Bhagavad Gita. The temple priest Sammohan Mukunda Das released a video and said that after the incident of arson and looting in the temple, Sri Krishna Janmashtami is not being celebrated this time.

with Hindu community leadersmohammed yunusmeeting of
Bangladesh interim government chief Mohammad Yunus met Hindu community leaders and vowed to promote interfaith harmony while hosting a reception for them on the occasion of Janmashtami. During the meeting, Yunus said he wanted to build a Bangladesh where everyone could practice their religion without fear and where no temple needed to be guarded.
It will help in building a non-communal society
“Our responsibility is to restore the rights of every citizen. Our job is to ensure justice for every citizen,” he told a group of Hindu leaders. “There can be no division among people in our country. We are equal citizens,” Yunus was quoted as saying by the state-run BSS news agency. Hindu leaders praised the chief adviser’s recent remarks at the Dhakeshwari temple in Old Dhaka, saying it would help build a non-communal society in the country and ensure religious harmony in society.
