Jeep has finally launched the updated Wrangler in India. It comes in two variants; Unlimited and Rubicon. Its price is Rs 67.65 lakh and Rs 71.65 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Jeep claims that it has already received more than 100 pre-bookings. Deliveries of the 2024 Wrangler are expected to begin by mid-May this year. The latest version of the Wrangler in India gets a number of subtle updates and changes. As far as price is concerned, both variants of the Wrangler facelift are Rs 5 lakh more expensive than the current model.

On the outside, the most noticeable changes on the Unlimited variant are the blacked-out front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels. The Rubicon also has an all-black front grille but gets new 17-inch alloy wheels. Jeep also claims that the new front wind shield is made of Gorilla Glass. Both the Unlimited and Rubicon are available in five color options – Firecracker Red, Sarge Green, Bright White, Black and Granite Crystal. Of these, Sarge Green was not available in the Unlimited variant earlier. The 2024 Wrangler is still powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, petrol motor that produces 266bhp and 400Nm of torque. It is still mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

On the inside, the updated Wrangler gets a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with Jeep’s latest Uconnect 5 operating system. The dashboard design has been updated accordingly; For example, smooth air vents. Additionally, the American automaker has also added 12-way powered front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as six airbags. Previously, the Wrangler came with only four airbags. Other safety features include ADAS, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation and more. Jeep’s four-wheel-drive system still comes standard. In India, Wrangler competes with Land Rover Defender and Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
