Greater Noida. Tournament host golfer Jeev Milkha Singh eventually finished tied third in the inaugural India Legends Championship here on Sunday after making a disappointing triple bogey. However, this was his best performance on the Legends Tour, in which he has been playing for the last three years. Jeev carded four over 76 on the final day at the Jaypee Greens Golf Course, which knocked him out of contention to win the $ 5,00,000 prize money tournament.
Despite Jeev’s miss, it was a good outing for the host country in the first Legends Tour tournament on Indian soil. Jyoti Randhawa (68-72-74) finished tied ninth with a total score of two-under 214. Mukesh Kumar (74-72-70) was tied 15th and Amandeep Johal (74-72-70) was tied 22nd. Among other Indians, Vishal Singh was tied 30th, Digvijay Singh tied 53rd, Vijay Kumar tied 54th, Sanjay Kumar tied 54th and Harmeet Kahlon tied 63rd.
