YEARS

The India Block meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Ranchi. This is the third time that Hemant Soren will take oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He will be the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand, which was carved out of Bihar in 2000.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren on Wednesday resigned from the top post, setting the stage for Hemant Soren’s return as CM again. According to sources, nearly five months after he was forced to step down following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, Hemant Soren is set to return as Jharkhand chief minister. Soren was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court on June 28 in the land scam case. The court said that prima facie it appears that there is no evidence to support the ED’s allegation against Hemant Soren.

India Block meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Ranchi. This is the third time that Hemant Soren will take oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He will be the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand, which was separated from Bihar in 2000. There is also a discussion about giving Champai Soren a new responsibility as the chairman of the UPA coordination committee and the working president of the JMM. Apart from Congress’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir and state president Rajesh Thakur, Hemant Soren’s brother Basant and wife Kalpana also attended the India Block meeting.

Meanwhile, setting the narrative of BJP going on the offensive, MP Nishikant Dubey said in a post on X that “Champai Soren era is over in Jharkhand.” He further wrote that people outside the family have no political future in the family-oriented party. I wish the agitators were inspired by Chief Minister Birsa Bhagwan and stood up against the corrupt Hemant Soren ji? Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that it is extremely sad that a senior tribal leader was removed from the post of Chief Minister by JMM and Congress party in Jharkhand. I am sure that the people of Jharkhand will strongly condemn this action and strongly reject it.
