BJP candidate from Kaiserganj Karan Bhushan Singh on Thursday said the accident involving his convoy, in which two youths on a motorcycle were killed, was “tragic”. Karan Bhushan Singh, son of former Wrestling Federation of India chief and outgoing MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, said the accident was a “coincidence”, adding that the youths were hit by a car in the convoy after they collided with a woman and fell in the path of the vehicle.

Police reports on Wednesday indicate that the driver of the SUV lost control and hit the victims, identified as cousins ​​Rehan Khan and Shehzad Khan, aged 17 and 20, respectively. A 60-year-old woman named Sita Devi was also reported injured in the accident. She was reportedly walking on the roadside when the SUV hit her. She has been discharged from the district hospital after treatment. The BJP leader denied any involvement in the accident and criticised some media reports calling them “false and fabricated”.
